A person is dead in what authorities are calling a hazardous materials incident Saturday at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose.
At least six other people were transported to a hospital. Officials said they were decontaminated at the scene.
Three floors of the hotel were also evacuated as a precaution, firefighters said.
No additional information was immediately available.
