49ers, Raiders fans despair about losses in memes

First the first time this season, both the San Francisco 49ers and Oakland Raiders lost. But the similarities to how they earned their “L’s”  ends there.

San Francisco traveled across the country and faced off with the two-loss Baltimore Ravens. In a game that will be remembered more for being played in a rainstorm then any of the action on the field, the Ravens edged the 49ers on a 49-yard field goal from Justin Tucker as time expired.

The 49ers defense held Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson in check most of the game, limiting him to 105 yards in the air, but he did gain 101 yards on the ground.

Meanwhile, San Francisco quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo only threw for 165 yards while running back Raheem Mostert had a career-high 146 yards on the ground.

While 49ers fans could take solace that their team lost on a last-second goal, the Oakland Raiders were never in their game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Quarterback Derek Carr threw two interceptions, and the Raiders were down 31-0 before they scored their first points of the game. They finally scored a touchdown in the final minute of the game, but the point-after attempt was blocked and returned to the other end zone for by the Chiefs for two points.
There were also memes reacting to the mediocrity of the NFL East and the Bengals finally earning their first win of the season.
