Civic Center BART closed due to flooding

Civic Center BART station closed Wednesday afternoon due to flooding, the agency said.

Both the platform and concourse levels are flooded, said Anna Duckworth, a BART spokeswoman. Nobody is allowed into the station while BART tries to fix the flooding issue.

Trains are running through the station, but not stopping, officials said. According to the agency, a problem on the Muni platform was causing water to leak onto the BART platform below.

Muni remains open, said Paul Rose, a San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency spokesman.

It is unknown when the station will reopen.
