Crews battle fire at Port of Stockton

STOCKTON, Calif. (KCRA) —

Crews are battling a fire at the Port of Stockton on Monday afternoon, port officials said.

The fire ignited just before 4 p.m. at a paper recycling facility, Green Planet 21. The Stockton Fire Department said the blaze is at Port Road 22.

“This fire has depleted many resources from the City of Stockton limits,” the fire department tweeted. “High winds are making this challenging.”

No injuries have been reported, port officials said.

A large plume of dark smoke from the fire can be seen from miles away.

No other details were released.
