SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KCRA) — A driver is lucky to be alive after his car was pulled under a big rig and its roof was torn off Sunday afternoon on Interstate 5 in Sacramento, authorities said.
The driver was heading southbound on I-5 near Arena Boulevard when his vehicle made contact with the semi, which pulled his car underneath the big rig and out the other side, according to the Sacramento Fire Department.
The exact circumstances of how the two vehicles came into contact is not yet known.
The driver is seen grinning and giving a thumbs-up next to a flattened red car in a photo shared by the Sacramento Fire Department. He reported no injuries.
“We advised this lucky driver to go buy some lottery tickets,” the fire department said in a tweet.
