A Milpitas police officer who left the department in January turned himself in to law enforcement Tuesday on suspicion of falsifying a police report.
Victor Madarang, 24, self-surrendered on the $10,000 arrest warrant, according to police. Madarang worked at the department from July 12, 2018 to Jan. 8 of this year.
Milpitas police initially asked the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office to investigate Madarang in December when a police report he filed did not match with minor damage to a police vehicle.
The Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office is not yet releasing further information about the criminal filing.
