Police are investigating sexual-abuse and harassment accusations made against former University of Arizona and NBA guard Mike Bibby, according to officials in the Phoenix school district where he has been working as a high school coach.
The Paradise Valley Unified School District issued a statement saying it was notified Feb. 14 of the police investigation into claims against Bibby, who has been the head basketball coach at Shadow Mountain High School.

Bibby denied the accusation through his attorney, Donald Harris.
Bibby played on Shadow Mountain’s first state championship basketball team in 1996, led Arizona to its only national championship in 1997 and played 14 seasons in the NBA, mainly with the Grizzlies, Kings and Hawks.
