Fashion, Meet Infield Dirt: Baseball Merchandise Takes Leap

The A’s Team Store at the Oakland Coliseum will never be mistaken for the Milan Fashion Week but we’re closer than ever before.

New licensed Major League Baseball products released by Nike, Mitchell & Ness, and feature non-traditional styles and high-quality fabrics never before seen in American sports fandom.

“We had success with authentics, so it was a natural progression for us to make other apparel,” says Lynn Bloom, Director of Authentics and Archives at Mitchell & Ness, “My whole mission is to keep (fans) talking about the history of the game.”

“There’s a seemingly insatiable appetite for unique and quality player merchandise,” said Affordable Jerseys owner Andrew J. Chapin which recently started reselling licensed player merchandise, “People are eager to represent their favorite players and teams in daily life so we’re providing apparel people can actually wear around town, not just at the ballpark.”

Mitchell & Ness and Affordable Jerseys each released new product this spring, including an Authentic Mesh BP 1999 New York Yankees Mariano Rivera Jersey, a Blue Jays Vladimir Guerrero Jr. long sleeve T, and a New York Yankees Aaron Judge No Name Long Sleeve T shirt.
