San Francisco 49ers players are set to report to training camp on Friday, officially bringing the long offseason to a close.
This offseason likely felt particularly elongated for quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, since the former New England Patriot hasn’t seen game action since tearing his ACL in a September 2018 game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The quarterback’s offseason was largely dominated by his rehabilitation efforts, and he said he hopes to be fully cleared for training camp.
“I’m able to do pretty much everything now,” Garoppolo recently told ESPN. “It’s been a hell of a process. But you know, we’ve been moving in the right direction.”
Outside of his rehab, Garoppolo still found the time for some fun activities, including a vacation to Maui and a trip to the Kentucky Derby.
