Rock band Imagine Dragons and rapper Lil Wayne performed during halftime of the College Football Playoff National Championship at Levi’s Stadium on Monday night, and a number of Twitter users were less than impressed.
Many noted that Imagine Dragons is notorious for sounding a bit off-key during live performances.
“Imagine ‘hitting the notes’ Dragons,” one user tweeted.
“Imagine Dragons with the only performance worse than Bama’s defense so far tonight,” another user tweeted.
Alabama trailed Clemson 31-16 at the half.
Arizona Cardinals quarterback Josh Rosen also weighed in.
“I wonder how much Imagine Dragons is getting paid for this CFP halftime performance… #amateurs,” he tweeted.
Other Twitter users poked fun at Lil Wayne’s outfit, a get-up that drew comparisons to ET and the Hamburglar, among other characters.
