Get ready for a brain freeze. It’s July 11, also known as Free Slurpee Day when select 7-Elevens across the country celebrate the convenience store’s birthday by handing out sugary, slushy drinks for free. The offer runs 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
This is something to behold, since little in life is free — especially in San Francisco, where you can easily pay $20 for a beverage, whether a hand-pressed juice or craft cocktail.
To help you, we’ve tracked down the 15 7-Elevens in San Francisco. You’ll find a map in the gallery above and we’ve also listed them below.
It looks like your best bet is downtown, where there are three stores. That brings us to the question: Can you go to more than one location and get another drink? There’s a limit of one Slurpee per customer, per location, so that means yes, double brain freezes are allowed.
