Kevin Durant knocked out of Game 3 after apparent Achilles injury

Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant was forced to head into the locker room after suffering a non-contact ankle injury in Game 5 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

Durant landed awkwardly after a midrange jump shot, and immediately grabbed at his right Achilles tendon.

The TNT broadcast crew speculated that Durant’s reaction looked similar to what happened Kobe Bryant, who thought he was kicked in his Achilles tendon before realizing no one was there.

Bryant also was able to walk off the court, and was later diagnosed with a torn Achilles tendon.
