Klay Thompson, still sitting out with a torn ACL, may not be able to partake directly in the action. But he still got a workout of sorts during the Warriors-Mavericks game on Saturday night.
Right before the half, trash-talker extraordinaire Draymond Green got into it with Dallas’ Kristaps Porzingis. The pair were trading barbs when Thompson got up from the bench to add to the chaos. He shouted over to Porzingis until the Mavs big man turned away. Klay finished up the exchange with a “whatever, man” hand gesture before sitting back down.
Green, who received a technical foul for his troubles, and Porzingis eventually had to be separated. Warriors teammate D’Angelo Russell can be seen laughing as he pushes Green away.
Despite the Warriors falling 141-121 to the Mavericks, Green still had a silver lining to cheer him up.
“I don’t think I enjoy many things more in life than when Klay gets into it with somebody,” Green told ESPN after the game. “That’s always a treat. So that was fun to see.”
With the loss, the Warriors fell to 9-25. They take a few days off before traveling to San Antonio to play the Spurs at 4 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spurs beat the Warriors by 17 points in their last matchup.
