Levi’s Stadium to be pelted with golf balls. Here’s how to get a tee time.

The longest drives at Levi’s Stadium this year may not be authored by quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. Golf is coming to the home of the San Francisco 49ers this June, and the window to reserve a spot is about to open.

A traveling golf experience known as Stadiumlinks will return to Levis on June 22. Stadiumlinks transforms the fields of major baseball and football venues around the country into temporary “courses,” allowing players to bomb golf balls from stationary positions around the stadium at holes on what is normally the playing field.  Your score for the nine-hole contest is determined by the accuracy of your drives.

The series, which has visited Citi Field in New York and Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, also had a three-day run at Levi’s last year.

Stadiumlinks notified mailing list members that the first opportunity to book for the June 22 one-day event would be this Tuesday, May 7, beginning at 11 a.m. To get the early registration access, you must be registered on the waitlist.

Organizers say some 10,000 people were waiting to sign up for “an extremely limited number of tee times.”

The Stadiumlinks website does not list the price for the event on the website, but previous participants have said the cost is about $400 per foursome.

This story will be updated if current pricing and demand information becomes available.
