A popular San Francisco Italian deli and grocer that’s been in business for more than nine decades is closing up shop for good this spring.
The family-owned shop known for its pastas was established in 1925. The owner is selling the building and surrounding property to a developer, which plans to build a five-story development at the site, according to SocketSite.
Lucca is best known for its pastas, which passersby can watch employees make though a window from the street, Eater SF said. The store also sells Italian meats, sandwiches, wines, and cheeses.
