Oregon tops UCLA in OT to reach Pac-12 final

Ruthy Hebard scored 28 points to lift No. 6 Oregon to an 88-83 overtime victory over No. 25 UCLA on Saturday in the Pac-12 tournament semifinals in Las Vegas.

With the game tied at 83, Satou Sabally made a driving layup with 59 seconds left. UCLA (20-12) twice had a chance to take the lead, but Kiara Jefferson missed open 3-point attempts. Sabally then hit one of two free throws to give the Ducks a three-point lead.

UCLA tied the game at the end of regulation when Michaela Onyenwere hit the second of two free throws with 4.8 seconds left.

Oregon (29-3) will face Stanford or Washington for the title Sunday.

St. Mary’s 70, Loyola Marymount 38: Madeline Holland scored 18 points to lead four Gaels in double figures and St. Mary’s (20-10) jumped to a 10-point lead in the first quarter and cruised past the Lions (18-14) in the quarterfinals of the WCC tournament in Las Vegas. Megan McKay added 17 points and Sydney Raggio and Sam Simons 10 apiece for the Gaels, who will face Gonzaga on Monday in the semifinals.

#1 Baylor 100, Texas Tech 61: Kalani Brown and NaLyssa Smith scored 14 points each as the Bears (29-1) beat the Red Raiders (14-17) in the Big 12 tournament quarterfinals in Oklahoma City.

#2 UConn 92, East Carolina 65: Napheesa Collier scored 37 points to lead the host Huskies (29-2) past the Pirates (16-15) in the American Athletic Conference tournament quarterfinals.

#3 Louisville 78, #9 North Carolina State 68: Asia Durr scored 22 points and Arica Carter added 16 as the Cardinals (29-2) topped the Wolfpack (26-5) to advance to the ACC tournament championship game in Greensboro, N.C.

#4 Notre Dame 91, #18 Syracuse 66: Jackie Young had 18 points and 13 rebounds and Jessica Shepard added 16 points and 12 rebounds for the Irish (29-3), who topped the Orange (24-8) to earn a meeting with Louisville in the ACC final.

#5 Mississippi State 71, Missouri 56: In Greenville, S.C., Teaira McCowan had 27 points and 16 rebounds for the Bulldogs (29-2), who advanced to the SEC tournament final for a fourth straight season by beating the Tigers (23-10).

#8 Maryland 73, Michigan 72: Kaila Charles made two free throws with 10.3 seconds left to help the Terrapins (28-3) edge the Wolverines (21-11) in the Big Ten semifinals in Indianapolis.

#10 Iowa 72, Rutgers 67: Megan Gustafson scored 20 points and had 12 rebounds as the Hawkeyes (25-6) topped the Scarlet Knights (22-9) in the Big Ten semifinals..
