Plane Crashes Overnight Near Mount Diablo State Park

A plane that was flying from Hayward to Lincoln crashed overnight Saturday near Mount Diablo State Park.

San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District officials were called Saturday afternoon out to the site of a plane crash that happened overnight, according to the dispatch center.

It wasn’t immediately clear how many people were on board, or if there were any injuries.

The aircraft, a Mooney, was reported overdue by a family member, said Federal Aviation Administration spokesperson Ian Gregor.

San Ramon Valley Fire said California State Parks officials are handling the incident. 

No other information was immediately available.
