Police Respond to Reported Shooting at San Francisco State

Officers late Monday responded to reports of a shooting near the campus of San Francisco State University, and a suspect was still at-large, according to San Francisco police.

The shooting reportedly occurred just after 7 p.m. on Serrano Drive, near the campus library. When officers arrived, they found 20-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the upper body, police said. The suspect, in his 20s, was at the scene and fled.

Police said the suspect is in his 20s, and they believe they know who he is.

The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Police closed down the street and asked the public to avoid the area.
