The Raiders will play the Bears – and Khalil Mack – in London next season, the NFL announced Monday.
It marks the Raiders’ second consecutive year playing a “home” game in London and their fourth straight season with an international game. They lost 27-3 to the Seahawks in 2018 at Wembley Stadium.
The date and venue of the 2019 game has yet to be determined.
It will be the Raiders’ first time opposing Mack – the All-Pro edge rusher and former first-round pick whom Oakland traded to the Bears on Sept. 1. As part of the deal the Raiders received the Bears’ first-round pick in 2019, which slots in as 24th overall after Mack helped to lead Chicago to the playoffs.
Where the Raiders will play the rest of their home games in 2019 remains unknown – the team has yet to determine a home stadium for its final season before relocating to Las Vegas in 2020.
Raiders staff will be in Mobile, Ala., this week as one of two coaching staffs for the Senior Bowl, along with the 49ers’. Jon Gruden will lead his first practice for the North Team on Tuesday.
