Raptors fans wouldn’t leave Oracle after Game 3

Toronto Raptors fans stuck around Oakland’s Oracle Arena Wednesday night after the Raptors 123–109 win over the Golden State Warriors in Game 3 of the NBA Finals.

Then they stuck around some more.

And some more.

Video clips posted on Twitter showed security guards trying to usher the celebratory crowd toward the exit after the game, but Raptors fans essentially refused to leave the arena, holding Canadian flags and plastic cups of beer, while scream-singing the Canadian national anthem and chanting “Let’s go Raptors!”

Swish Daily posted a collection of video clips of the fans in question.

With the win, the Raptors reclaimed home court advantage and took a 2-1 series lead, with Game 5 set for Friday at Oracle Arena. Between now and then, Golden State will wait with bated breath on the injury status of both Klay Thompson, who was ruled out just before tipoff with a hamstring strain, and Kevin Durant, who is expected to scrimmage on Thursday.
