Raptors finally serve up a decent Bay Area reference, after beating the Warriors in Game 4

The Raptors’ social media team was roasted to hell Wednesday after they released a photo of the Toronto players on the Golden Gate Bridge ahead of Game 3 of the NBA Finals.

Meant to be intimidating (???), the photo instead turned out to be a major flop as every Warrior fan with a Twitter account — including some notable local corporate and politician accounts — pointed out the obvious.

Wrong bridge, dudes.

You can’t blame the Toronto Raptors social media team for trying again, however: After managing two wins over the Warriors in Oakland on Wednesday and Friday, the Raptors were perhaps in a better space to make another attempt at a Bay Area reference. This time, they went for well-worn San Francisco territory, deciding to spoof a local TV show opening theme song, but starring Raptors players.

Yep, you must see where this is headed: “Full House,” of course.

Or, “Raptors House,” as the video declares.

Well, let’s give some credit where credit’s due. This was better than the bridge photo, but it’s still not as original as the Raptors are probably hoping.

Game 5 of the Finals airs Monday, June 10 at 6 p.m. PST.
