SF Muni trip planning isn’t working on Google Maps today

If you’re looking to get around San Francisco today, you’ll need to do it without Google Maps. Muni directions on the app are currently unavailable because of a “transit data error,” SFMTA said.

An SFMTA spokesman said the trip planning would return Thursday or Friday.

On Tuesday night, the transit service estimated that trip planning on Google Maps would be out for the next 24 to 48 hours. As of 11 a.m. on Wednesday, it had not been restored.

SFMTA said it corrected the issue with Google on Tuesday, the same day the problem was found.

You can still search for directions using BART and other transit services on Google Maps, and Muni directions are still available on Apple Maps. SFMTA suggests using BART’s trip planner in the interim.
