Sharks player who thought he lost his testicle gets his teeth knocked out one week later

San Jose Sharks center Logan Couture is not having a good time this postseason.

Couture took a puck to the groin area during Game 2 of the team’s opening round playoff series against the Vegas Golden Knights and was initially afraid he lost a testicle.

During Game 5 on Thursday, Couture took a stick to the face area and lost at least two of his teeth in the process.

The Golden Knights were called for high-sticking, and Tomáš Hertl scored on the ensuing Sharks’ power play.

“Puck don’t lie,” the Sharks’ official Twitter account wrote after the goal.

The Sharks also included a photo of Couture’s teeth laying on the ice, and wrote, “Yes, those are Couture’s teeth on the ice from the high stick.”

The Sharks defeated the Golden Knights 5-2 to stave off elimination. They now trail Vegas 3-2 in the series, and head back to Vegas for Game 6 on Sunday.
