If you’re an NBA player who thinks Draymond Green is overrated, Stephen Curry is not impressed by your opinion.
The Athletic’s first annual poll of NBA players drew an unwelcome title-winner for Green, who was named by some of his peers as the league’s “most overrated” player. Forty-seven players responded to the question anonymously when asked by The Athletic’s NBA beat writers.
Green took home 17 percent of the vote, tying him with Russell Westbrook. Jimmy Butler, Andrew Wiggins, Karl-Anthony Towns, James Harden, Ben Simmons, LeBron James and Kyle Lowry also received votes.
An Instagram post showing the results must have crossed Curry’s feed, because he couldn’t resist leaving his thoughts in the comments.
“Who are these 109 players?????? Can’t be anybody that’s actually touched the floor and been in front of those 2! Good luck!” he wrote, adding a clown emoji for good measure.
Curry likely mixed up his numbers; although over 100 players took part in the anonymous poll overall, only 47 answered the overrated player question.
Green will have a chance to show how over, under or properly rated he is in short order. The Warriors’ first round playoff opponent and schedule will be announced Wednesday; the first game will take place on either Saturday or Sunday.
