The reason why Jordan Bell was suspended from Wednesday night's game

A hotel charge is reportedly the reason behind Jordan Bell’s mysterious suspension Wednesday night.

The Golden State Warriors forward reportedly charged a purchase to the bill of assistant coach Mike Brown at the Peabody Hotel in Memphis where the team was staying, according to The Athletic.

Brown saw the charge and the hotel confirmed its purchase.

“The Warriors launched a quick investigation and it became clear that Bell is the one who put it on Brown’s bill,” The Athletic reported. “There was concern, sources say, that this wasn’t the first time Bell has pulled this maneuver on some unknowing member of the organization.”

It’s unknown what Bell charged to Brown’s account.

On Wednesday, the team announced Bell would miss one game due to “conduct detrimental to the team,” but the exact reason for the suspension wasn’t revealed. The team played the Memphis Grizzlies that night, winning 118-103.
