The Oracle Arena farewell tour for the Golden State Warriors is down to its (if necessary) final three games with the NBA Finals knotted at 1-1, and the Dubs are going out in style.
Animal style, specifically.
NBC Sports Bay Area reporter Kerith Burke tweeted a photo of an In-N-Out burger on Tuesday afternoon, a day prior to Game 3 in Oakland, with the caption “Look what’s in the media workroom. The Warriors do it right.”
Unsurprisingly, it sounds like the burgers went fast: “There were people stuffing them in their bags as soon as they were delivered,” Bay Area sportswriter Ray Ratto replied to her tweet.
According to San Francisco Chronicle Golden State Warriors reporter Connor Letourneau, In-N-Out for media at Warriors games is not a regular occurrence.
Later, overwhelmed by the social media response, Burke followed up, “I was not prepared for what would happen after tweeting a picture of a hamburger. Some of you need to play outside or take a nap.”
Game 3 tips off Wednesday night at 6 p.m. PDT.
