Two buildings destroyed by San Jose brush fire

A brush fire has burned at least 47 acres in the East San Jose foothills.

Cal Fire confirmed the fire began near Aborn Road, east of Evergreen Valley High, on Monday. At 12:49 p.m., Cal Fire tweeted that the fire’s “forward progress” had been stopped.

Two buildings have been destroyed, Cal Fire says.

Chopper aerials showed at least one structure on fire and firefighters on the scene.
