Video captures man dumping 2 gallons of diesel fuel on neighbor's home before trying to start fire

A 38-year-old Stockton man is under arrest for allegedly dumping two gallons of diesel fuel on his neighbor’s front door and porch, and trying to light it on fire. The incident was captured on home security camera.

Cuong Pham, who lives across from the home on Dominion Drive, was arrested on March 7 for attempted homicide and arson charges, according to the Stockton Police Department.

The incident occurred Thursday at 2:30 a.m., but the homeowner — who didn’t want to be identified — told FOX 40  she didn’t become aware of the incident until two hours later after watching footage from a doorbell camera.

The homeowner called 911 and when police and the fire department arrived, she says Pham told them he saw a ghost and was trying to chase it away.

Fox 40 also reports the man doesn’t have an issue with the family and apologized.
