Nick Bosa plays for the San Francisco 49ers, but evidently has no regard for the hurt feelings of Bay Area sports fans still aggrieved over the 2016 NBA Finals.
During a locker room interview with former 49ers nose guard turned NBC Sports Bay Area analyst Ian Williams, Bosa was asked what his favorite “sports moment of the decade” is. Warriors fans will want to look away.
“Gotta go with Kyrie [Irving]’s three against the Warriors,” Bosa says as Williams cringes.
“You’re in the Bay Area!” Williams attempts to remind the rookie.
“I know,” Bosa laughed. “That was a good night, too, that was the ‘Game of Thrones’ ‘Battle of the Bastards,’ too, so that was just a great night of television. But I know I’m going to get in trouble for that.”
Irving hit the go-ahead three-pointer over Stephen Curry in the final minute of Game 7 of the 2016 NBA Finals, you know, the year the 73-9 Warriors blew a 3-1 lead and all that.
It could be worse for Warriors fans, as Bosa could have named the LeBron James chase-down block on Andre Iguodala in that same game, a more humiliating play that’s been used to taunt Warriors fans for years.
