Woman Buried in SF Cliff Collapse Identified by Loved Ones

The woman who is presumed dead following a cliff collapse at San Francisco’s Fort Funston last week has been identified by loved ones.

Kyra Sunshine Scarlet was walking on the beach Friday afternoon with her friend and a dog when a portion of the cliff gave way. Scarlet’s friend, who was buried in the sand up to her shoulders, and the dog were rescued.

Loved ones of Scarlet have since created a GoFundMe page.

“The only solace is she was with her friend and dog on a beach with a view of an ocean, which was her happy place,” a statement on the GoFundMe page read.
