49ers-Cardinals tickets are the cheapest of any Niners home game this season

After surging to an 8-0 start, the San Francisco 49ers saw their tickets take a similar surge. Despite losing their first game of the season to the Seattle Seahawks on Monday, the Niners are still the hottest ticket in town. But there’s a lot of hope in that ever-ascending ticket price graph: This week’s game vs. the Arizona Cardinals is the cheapest home game this season.

As of Friday, the average ticket price for the 49ers game on Sunday is $156, according to SeatGeek and the get-in price (the cheapest ticket) is just $92 for the upper levels. Seats at the 50 yard line at field level are going for upwards of $300.

While prices for the Week 11 contest have gone up 23 percent in the last few weeks, they’re still 37 percent cheaper than the game last Monday vs. the Seahawks.

That part makes sense, as the Seahawks are 8-2, while the Cardinals are 3-6-1. It comes as a surprise, however, that this week’s game is cheaper than the Week 15 contest against the 2-7 Atlanta Falcons. Tickets for that game are hovering around $161 as of Friday.

Perhaps it has something to do with old NFC West rivalries. Who knows! Supply and demand are fickle when it comes to the fortunes of sports franchises. Enjoy the 49ers while they’re good — you rarely enjoy the wins as much as you agonize over the losses.
