Jeremy Lin scored 20 points, Fred VanVleet had 13 points and 12 assists, and the Raptors beat the Knicks 128-92 in Toronto on Monday.
Kyle Lowry, Toronto’s All-Star point guard, left in the third quarter with an injured right ankle. Lowry, who had 15 points and eight assists in 26 minutes, missed the previous two games because of a sore left ankle.
New York rookie center Mitchell Robinson collided with Lowry while chasing a loose ball at 5:15 of the third, falling onto Lowry’s legs and taking Lowry down from behind. Lowry slapped the floor in pain and frustration before being helped to his feet and limping to the locker room.
Nuggets 114, Celtics 105: Nikola Jokic had 21 points and 13 rebounds and the visiting Nuggets rallied in the fourth quarter. Will Barton added 20 points for Denver, which clinched its first playoff berth since 2013.
Trail Blazers 106, Pacers 98: Damian Lillard had 30 points and 15 assists as Portland won at home without guard CJ McCollum. Jusuf Nurkic added 18 points and 11 rebounds for the Blazers, who led by as many as 21. McCollum, who averages 21 points per game, injured his left knee in Saturday’s loss at San Antonio and it’s uncertain if he will play again before the playoffs.
Jazz 116, Wizards 95: Rudy Gobert had 14 points and 14 rebounds as visiting Utah won its fourth straight.
Pelicans 129, Mavericks 125: Dirk Nowitzki passed Wilt Chamberlain for sixth place on the NBA’s career scoring list, but Elfrid Payton had his fifth straight triple-double to lift visiting New Orleans to a win in overtime. Payton finished with 19 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds. Luka Doncic had 29 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists for Dallas.
Bulls 116, Suns 101: Robin Lopez scored 24 points to help visiting Chicago snap a five-game losing streak. Lopez shot 11-for-14 from the field as the Bulls shot 52 percent (46-for-89). Deandre Ayton had 25 points and 12 rebounds for Phoenix.
Cavaliers 126, Pistons 119: Collin Sexton scored 27, including the go-ahead 3-pointer in the closing minutes, for host Cleveland. Blake Griffin (rest) sat out for Detroit. Cleveland’s Kevin Love sat with a sore back.
Heat 116, Thunder 107: Goran Dragic had 26 points and 11 assists, Dwyane Wade added 25 points and visiting Miami took advantage of Russell Westbrook’s absence. The Thunder guard served a one-game suspension for getting his 16th technical foul of the season. Paul George scored 31 points for Oklahoma City.
