Stephen and Ayesha’s firstborn, Riley Curry, set a high bar for cuteness in the family. But, as Canon Curry showed on Monday night, she certainly doesn’t have a monopoly on it.
Canon, who turns one in July, was the most adorable part of the Warriors’ celebration after clinching a berth to their fifth-straight NBA Finals. His chubby little face was turned toward every camera, which captured his perpetual befuddlement in the series of photos seen above.
Dad Steph didn’t want Canon to feel left out of the celebratory merch, so he put his tiny son in a full-size “Won the West” shirt.
Canon even captivated former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who took in the game courtside. After the game, Kaepernick met the smallest Curry with a huge grin.
“Say what’s up,” Stephen says to Canon, who looks curiously at Kaepernick. “Say what’s up to Colin.”
Also in attendance were Stephen’s wife Ayesha, daughters Riley and Ryan, sister Sydel and parents Dell and Sonya.
The Warriors now have over a week to relax and recover for the NBA Finals, which are scheduled to start on May 30. They’ll face either the Bucks or the Raptors; Milwaukee currently leads the series 2-1.
“We could have said Game 5 was our game,” Curry said. “But we saw how long that break was going to be and we wanted to take advantage of it.”
