Like most golf fans, Steph Curry was thrilled with Tiger Woods’ triumph in the Masters. Curry, an excellent golfer in his own right, tweeted that Tiger’s victory Sunday was the “greatest comeback in sports.”
Cleveland Cavaliers fans immediately took notice.
They jumped at the chance to troll Curry, reminding him about “3-1”, the Warriors‘ infamous collapse in the 2016 NBA finals, when they lost the last three games to LeBron James’ Cavs.
Greatest comeback story in sports! Congrats @TigerWoods Let me hold one of those 5 jackets one time!

Predictably, they failed to recall that Curry was still partly hobbled by sprained knee he suffered in the first round of the playoffs that year. Or that Draymond Green missed a game due to suspension. Or that Andrew Bogut was out due to injury in Game 5.

But they sure remembered James’ pivotal block of Andrew Iguodala’s layup.
Arguably, neither Tiger’s big win at Augusta nor the Cavs’ comeback is the greatest of all time.
One commenter offered an alternative GOAT comeback nominee — George Foreman.
Foreman won the boxing heavyweight championship at age 45 after a 10-year retirement from the sport.
