Cyclist ‘seriously injured’ in traffic collision in Berkeley

A cyclist was “seriously injured” in a traffic collision in Berkeley Wednesday morning, according to police.

“Because of this, Cedar Street is closed between Eighth Street and Tenth Street and Ninth Street is closed between Jones Street and Virginia Street,” the Berkeley Police Department posted in an alert. “If traveling through the area, you should plan an alternative route.”

The incident is under investigation.
