President Donald Trump has issued an emergency order grounding all Boeing 737 Max 8 and Max 9 aircraft in the wake of a crash of an Ethiopian Airliner that killed 157 people, including two brothers from California.
There are a combined total of 387 Boeing 737 Max 8 and 9 aircrafts registered worldwide, according to the Federal Aviation Administration, but there are only three U.S.-based airlines which operate 72 of those aircrafts.
Thousands of daily flights operated by Southwest Airlines, American Airlines and United Airlines will be effected.
Here are the routes that the Max 8 and Max 9 jets make to and from the Bay Area:
- Los Angeles-Oakland
- Phoenix-San Francisco
- San Francisco-Maui
- San Francisco-Houston
