Na goes low at Colonial again with 62, trails Blixt by 1

Kevin Na eagled the par-5 first hole Friday on the way to an 8-under-par 62, his third score at least that good in the past six rounds on the cozy Colonial course made famous by Ben Hogan.

Na, tied for second at 8-under with first-round leader Tony Finau (68), trailed Jonas Blixt (64) by one halfway through in Fort Worth, Texas.

Defending champion Justin Rose, the highest-ranked player in the field at No. 3, shot 67 and was 1-over, one stroke above the cut line.

Rickie Fowler missed the cut by one shot at 3 over, ending a streak of 21 cuts made.

• Bronte Law shot a 3-under 68 to match early starters Jennifer Song (68) and Jacqui Concolino (67) for the lead at 9-under 133 at the LPGA Tour’s Pure Silk Championship in Williamsburg, Va.

• Defending champion Paul Broadhurst and Esteban Toledo both shot 3-under 67 to reach 3-under 137 to share the lead after two rounds of the Senior PGA Championship at Pittsford, N.Y.

• Isaiah Salinda shot a 2-under 70 to help Stanford hold second place, one shot behind Oklahoma State, after the first day of the NCAA men’s tournament in Fayetteville, Ark. Led by Collin Morikawa, whose 67 was the top score of the day, Cal was one shot back of Stanford.

• Michelle Wie has withdrawn from next week’s U.S. Women’s Open to continue her recovery from a hand injury.
