Police investigate sexual assault by 2 men at UC Berkeley fraternity

BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) — Berkeley Police say they are investigating the sexual assault by two men of a University of California, Berkeley student at a fraternity house.

Berkeley Police spokesman Officer Byron White says the student reported being assaulted after midnight Sunday at an off-campus fraternity.

White wouldn’t release the name of the fraternity and said only that it is on the 2700 block of Channing Way, where several fraternities are located.

He says the victim told investigators the assailants are about 18-years-old and that it’s not known if they, too, are UC Berkeley students.

White says the victim asked for their information to be kept confidential and that their gender wouldn’t be released.
