Seth Curry names one place he won’t be eating at while in SF

Portland Trail Blazers guard Seth Curry doesn’t have anything against sister-in-law Ayesha’s famed cooking. Right now just isn’t a good time for a family hangout.

Having two Curry brothers, Seth and Warrior guard Stephen, facing off in the Western Conference Finals has created a temporarily awkward family dynamic. First there was Dell and Sonya flipping a coin to decide who would root for which son.

And now there’s this: Sam Amick of The Athletic said Ayesha texted Seth prior to Game 1 of the Western Conference finals to ask if Curry would like to come over for dinner at her home.

“Everybody was at Steph’s house, and I’m in San Francisco (with the Blazers),” Seth told The Athletic. “Nah, I’m not in the mood (for a family get-together). I’m definitely not in the mood. … I respectfully declined.”

Instead, Seth said he went through his usual pregame routine, preparing for the game with his teammates. Seth finished with 3 points in 19 minutes, while older brother by two years, Stephen, finished with 36 points, seven assists and six rebounds in a 116-94 Warriors win.

The brothers match up again Thursday night in Game 2. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
