Police in San Francisco on Wednesday shot a dog in the area of Fifth and Market streets, near the Westfield shopping center, the police department confirmed.
Witnesses reported police arrested the dog’s owner at the scene, and video showed officers leading a man away in handcuffs.
The incident is not considered an officer-involved shooting but rather a weapons discharge, a ppolice spokesman said.
Details about the shooting had yet to be released.
