Klay Thompson returned to the court with a vengeance in Game 4 of the NBA Finals, and went to a particularly explicit celebration dance after hitting a tough shot towards the end of the second quarter.
With 3:49 left in the half, Thompson hit a contested turnaround shot over the Raptors’ Kyle Lowry, and proceeded to do the “big balls” dance made famous by Sam Cassell while running to the other side of the court.
No one in the arena seemed to enjoy the play as much as Snoop Dogg, who was sitting close to the action alongside fellow rapper E-40.
After Thompson hit the shot, Snoop was seen enthusiastically pointing in his direction and yelling something out to the people around him.
Thompson’s celebration also caught the eye of many fans on Twitter.
“When Klay Thompson starts doing this celebration you might have to pick it up and go home,” one account wrote.
“I hope that when the nba tries to fine klay for doing the big balls dance he tells them that he wasn’t doing the big balls dance he was actually just doing the rock the baby celebration but with two babies,” wrote another user.
Thompson scored 14 points in the first half of Game 4, and led all Warriors in scoring. Golden State led Toronto 46-42 at halftime.
