Steve Kerr’s NBA Finals prediction? Raptors in 8.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr shared his NBA Finals prediction Wednesday night with a Raptors fan camped out in front of the St. Regis Hotel — the Warriors’ team hotel for Game 1 and Game 2 of the Finals.

“Steve, Raps in 5? Raps in 5 or 6?” the fan shouted, in reference to how quickly the Raptors could close out the 7-game series.

“I think 8,” Kerr responded, triggering a chorus of laughs from the Toronto contingent posting up outside the hotel.

Raptors fans have reportedly been in front of the hotel since Wednesday afternoon, and during that time they’ve razzed Klay Thompson, set off late-night fireworks, and made getting the team bus out of the hotel a, well, challenge.

Crowd management” plans are already in full swing for Game 1 at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena, the NBA’s first-ever Finals game outside of the US, which — if you saw the scenes following the Raptors series-clinching win against the Bucks, makes a LOT of sense.

Game 1 tips off at 6 p.m.
